*Disney to make bumper book donation to RIF
A new Playhouse Disney Channel series which features celebrity parents reading a children’s bedtime story is to benefit Reading Is Fundamental, UK. Actress Michelle Collins (right), TV presenter Eamonn Holmes and former All Saints singer Natalie Appleton will read a picture book of their choice to pre-school character PJ Mole during PJ’s Bedtime, broadcast between 6 and 8pm on the Playhouse Disney Channel. Each celebrity reading will result in a 1,000-book donation by participating publishers to RIF through DisneyHand’s ‘Reading Together’ initiative which aims to highlight the ways in which reading together can be fun and engaging for both children and adults.
